"To maintain our many and diverse relationships, we live by an ancient value, "求同存异 the Sages work on their commonality yet maintain their differences." This Confucian value is also connected with Christian teaching, “Making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Eph 4:3). We, therefore, reject any attempts to explore our difference and divide us. Not stopping the small streams is the reason why the river will be enlarged to fulfil its destiny – uniting with the ocean."
