Ecumenical and Interfaith relationships
A commitment to ecumenism is part of the DNA of the Uniting Church. As Christians, we are called to bear witness to a unity of faith and life in Christ which transcends cultural and economic, national and racial boundaries.
At the same time, the Uniting Church is committed to be in relationship with other faiths. We believe that in engaging with other faiths, our understanding of God is enlarged.
The Assembly establishes and maintains membership of a range of national, regional and international ecumenical bodies and interfaith dialogues. We continue to maintain relationships with churches with a shared history of engagement, including more than 30 partner churches who engage with UnitingWorld.
This Circle invites people to learn about and participate in the ways the Uniting Church is in relationship with other Churches, with people of other faiths, and those of no institutional faith, as together we seek to find common ground for the good of all.
