17th Assembly Theme
Weaving Christ's Love Across Cultures and Boundaries
The theme chosen by the President-elect for the upcoming triennium is Threads of Love, Weaving Christ's Love Across Cultures and Boundaries. As we prepare to gather together, we are reminded of the unity we have in Christ's love. Guided by this shared vision, we are called to weave together a future where unity is celebrated, diversity is cherished and every thread of our communal tapestry resonates with the boundless love of Christ.
In these two videos, President-elect Rev Charissa Suli unpacks the theme for the 17th Assembly and the coming triennium, "Threads of Love: Weaving Christ's Love Across Cultures and Boundaries". Inspired by Rev's Suli's Tongan heritage and the weaving of the fala (mat), the theme is a powerful reminder that Christ's love is the thread that binds us together in moments of difference.
