Growing Faith
Growing as disciples of Christ, equipped to participate in God’s mission, is central to our journey of faith. The Uniting Church's founding document, The Basis of Union, (Paragraph 11), invites us "to hear anew" the commission of the risen Jesus to make disciples of all nations. Within the world-wide fellowship of Christian community, the Uniting Church holds a high regard for faithful and scholarly interpreters of scripture, who reflect deeply upon God’s living Word. We seek to have an informed faith open to the learning which comes through literary, historical and scientific understanding and from contemporary thought and societies.
This Circle provides a space for people who are keen to dive deeper into what it means to grow our faith as disciples of Jesus. This is a space to explore the ways we can be informed about and offer input into Uniting Church theological perspectives and to share your own faith journey with others.
