 Assembly Circles Lenten Bible Study

Introduction
Going deeper this Lent with our Circles of Interest

The Assembly Circles of Interest will be sharing a Lenten Bible Study series over the weeks leading up Easter using the theme “Going Deeper”.

The studies will encourage us to ‘go deeper’ into our relationship with God, our community and our world.

Each week, a different Circle will share a reflection based on one of the Lectionary readings for the coming Sunday offered through the lens of that particular Circle.

The studies will include stories, images, prayers or songs that help us think more deeply and to find ways we might respond to God’s calling on our lives. Questions are also provided for further reflection or discussion.

The weekly studies can be used in personal reflection, with a group or provide a helpful resource for those planning and leading worship.

National Consultant Rev Dr Apwee Ting said the theme “Going Deeper” encourages us to explore more deeply the readings through Lent, and to make time leading into Easter for prayerful reflection on our foundational beliefs about the life, death and resurrection of Jesus.

“The invitation is for us to think more deeply about our call to go into the wilderness with Jesus, to be transformed by God’s promises, God’s presence and forgiveness, and to be people of Easter hope,” says Apwee.
