Circle Advocate Rev Loni Vaitohi shares a prayer for Advent reminding us of God's hope for the whole of creation. 

A Prayer for Advent

O God of love and justice. As we wait in expectation, unite us in hope, peace, joy and love. That we may be reminded of your hope for the whole of your creation.

Redeemer God draw us all to you, that we may follow your way in mission and service and a glimpse of eternity in lowly places like the manger.

In this season of Advent, remind us of those who believed in your promise and your faithfulness like Hannah, Elizabeth, and Mary, whose courage and trust enables them to play their part in the fulfilment of your plan to break through to the hidden and dark places of our world and our lives.

God our Father prepare our hearts to receive your Son who enters the world as a vulnerable baby to become the Lord of salvation and Saviour of the least and the lost.

Eternal God grant us courage and a willingness to proclaim your love for all people this time and always, as we pray in the name of Jesus Christ your Son our Messiah. Amen.
