President’s Reflection: Threads of Love in Hobart and beyond
God’s mission has always been shared. At Hobart North Uniting, President Rev Charissa Suli witnessed how different gifts and callings can weave together to love our neighbours well.

During a recent visit to Hobart North Uniting Church, President Rev Charissa Suli was encouraged by a congregation asking a simple question, ‘How can we love our neighbours well?’.
President Suli heard how the congregation is weaving Christ’s love into its community through partnerships with Orange Sky, Uniting’s Catalyst Day, Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, a community food pantry and Bible studies.
Reflecting the Assembly theme, Threads of Love, the congregation’s ministries demonstrate the power of partnership and shared mission.
Rev Suli said the visit offered a glimpse of Flourishing Faith, Thriving Communities and Liberating Justice in action – through relationships, shared purpose and a commitment to serving neighbours with compassion, hospitality and hope.
