Uniting in Prayer is an invitation for the whole Church to slow down, listen deeply to God, and reconnect with one another across cultures, communities and distances.
From Pentecost Sunday on 24 May to the 49th Anniversary of the Uniting Church in Australia on 22 June, we are embarking on a shared season of national prayer.
Over these 30 days, 30 voices from across the Church will come together. Each day, a new voice will lead us in praying as one body around a single, unifying question: “What does it mean to be woven together in Christ's love across cultures and boundaries?”

Day 15 - One body, many members
Rev Rebecca Purling
Creator God, we give thanks for the wonder and intricacy of the created order; we are left in awe when we consider the ecosystems that sustain life in all its forms.
Loving God, when we look across our church, we give thanks for the many ways that people worship and serve across our country, and the interconnected systems that sustain and encourage your people in faith and discipleship. We pray for all followers of Jesus, those who we easily connect with, and those who challenge us as we seek connection.
God who hears our cries, we pray for your continuing guidance and encouragement as we join with you in mission and the bringing near of the kingdom of God. We pray that our words and actions will bear witness to God’s mercy, peace and love across our communities of faith, and in our neighbourhoods and the world.
We bring these prayers to you, O God, through your risen Son, Jesus the Christ.
Amen.
