Celebrating Trans Day of Visibility
#tdov #beseen
March 22, 2024
On 31 March we celebrate Trans Day of Visibility, a day of pride in trans people, their achievements and experiences. It is also a day to recognise the ongoing vulnerability and struggle for inclusion that many trans people face, including in church spaces.
The Uniting Church fundamentally celebrates all God's people as beloved and made in the image of God. We have much work to do, but are committed to creating places of safety and welcome where all people can belong, know God loves them, grow in faith and be freely and authentically themselves.
"Open our hearts to the power of life and love which offers transformation to all."

Prayers
Loving source and light of all creation,
your life and wisdom is gloriously revealed
in gender diversity
and in the kaleidoscopic beauty of
human difference.
We give you thanks for gender diverse people.
Bless them with assurance of your love.
Grant them strength and joy
in their lives, bodies and relationships.
And enable us all to celebrate their gifts:
that all may flourish
as full and equal expressions
of embodied love.
In the power and mystery
of your presence and peace. Amen.
