Associate General Secretary Rob Floyd to finish
August 3, 2022
The Assembly will be saying farewell to Rob Floyd as he resigns from his role as Associate General Secretary in early October.
Rob has served as the Associate General Secretary since 2017, leading the work of the Assembly Resourcing Unit (ARU), a team responsible for the oversight of the national work of the UCA including doctrine, worship, ministry education standards, social justice and advocacy and ecumenical and interfaith relationships.
With the ARU team, Rob has worked closely with First Nations people, culturally and linguistically diverse communities and emerging generations in the Uniting Church. Rob has also played a key role in the Executive Team of the Assembly.
Previous to his current role, Rob served as National Director for UnitingWorld overseeing the work of the Uniting Church’s international partnerships.
Rob’s long and distinguished service in the Assembly has been typified by consistency, faithfulness, effectiveness and good humour. He will be greatly missed and we pray God’s blessings on his next steps.
A recruitment process for the role of Associate General Secretary will commence soon.
