The National Young Adult Leaders Conference is back!
August 30, 2022
An invitation from Rev Sharon Hollis, President of the Uniting Church in Australia
I wish to invite young adults in the Uniting Church to join me at the next National Young Adult Leaders Conference (NYALC), which will be held from 26-29 January 2023 at Merricks Lodge in Victoria.
The National Young Adult Leaders Conference is an event hosted by the President of the Uniting Church Assembly and the National Chair of the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress.
It is for people aged 18-30 who are engaged in leadership in the Uniting Church, in their workplace or community organisation and who want to grow and develop their leadership skills, faith and discipleship.
We will explore what leadership is, build leadership skills, and you’ll have the opportunity to reflect on your own leadership practices and how your faith shapes and guides your leadership.
It will bring together worship, input sessions, bible study, peer reflection groups, some free time, and the opportunity to provide input into Act2 – a major project of the Uniting Church Assembly (national body) that is considering the shape of the UCA for the future.
Presenters will be announced soon.
As the Uniting Church we celebrate the leadership, passion, and many gifts of young adults. We recognise the critical influence and input you can have as we together seek to shape a just and flourishing church and world. It’s my hope that this national event will resource, encourage and inspire you.
I hope you will consider joining us at the 2023 NYALC.
