August 2, 2023
This Friday 4 August is National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day – a celebration of the strengths and culture of First Nations children. This year’s theme “Little Voices, Loud Futures”, acknowledges that a First Nations Voice would amplify the work being done to ensure First Nations children can flourish. UAICC Tasmania hosted a Children’s Day event at Leprena this week and recorded reflections of the day in an inspiring video featuring local high students.
Find the video and a written reflection from UAICC Tasmania Manager Alison Overeem below. You may like to share in your worship or your communities to show your support for next.
“Little voices to be strongly heard and held for a nation to hear. For a nation to grow. For a nation to know."
