“I am always encouraged when I meet young adult leaders in the Uniting Church who are living out their faith in Jesus in hopeful and inspiring ways," said the President.
"I am looking forward to continuing to build a community around the NYALC events as we seek to grow leadership and nurture faith together.”
Anna Wilson took part in the first NYALC Online and is a member of the Assembly Standing Committee.
"Hearing other young people talking about their involvement in the church and some of their joys and struggles was encouraging," she said.
"I look forward to further online events and the discussion they may bring. I am also looking forward to meeting other young people in the Uniting Church when we gather in person in 2024."
The President is also inviting the input of Uniting Church young adults to help shape further NYALC events.
"I would love to hear from young people across the Church who have ideas or would like to contribute to the ongoing NYALC Online events or the full in-person event planned for January 2024." Email the President here.
NYALC Online is an expression of the same mission to grow the leadership, faith and discipleship of Uniting Church emerging young adult leaders, offered in a 'snackable' form. The gatherings are open to Uniting Church young leaders aged 18-30.
