In the Uniting Church, we celebrate the gift of a diversity of languages and cultures that make up our communities.
Integral to how we understand our faith and life is the belief that we are all made in the image of God and share a common unity as the Body of Christ.
One of the key strategic priorities for the Assembly is to learn from and enable diverse cultural groups from within our church to flourish together. As a church of many languages, it is important for the way we speak about ourselves and our story to include languages other than English.
“All of this is us” is a phrase coined during the 40th anniversary of the Uniting Church to describe the unity and diversity that makes us who we are. Now often used as a hashtag on social media, it has become a joyful way of describing and celebrating our life together.
As we begin a new series reflecting on what it means to be an Intercultural Church as a key part of our identity, we have asked members of our community to share this phrase in their languages.
We thank those who continue to share the gift of language in our Assembly communications and resources. If you can add your language to the banner, please send us an email.
You can explore our collections of resources in different languages here.
