A new call for Colleen Geyer

The Uniting Church Assembly is delighted to congratulate outgoing Assembly General Secretary Colleen Geyer on her new role as Director of Mission at Wesley Mission Queensland (WMQ).
The announcement was made to WMQ staff last week by Jude Emmer, Chief Executive Officer.

"It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Colleen Geyer to our new WMQ Director of Mission role," the announcement read.
"Colleen comes to this role with significant experience and skills."
"She has contributed to the life and mission of the Uniting Church through leadership roles in its Councils and community services, having in the past served as Associate National Director of UnitingCare Australia, Director of Mission at Blue Care and UnitingCare Queensland."
Part of Wesley Mission Queensland's Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the Director of Mission leads on mission activities and pastoral and spiritual care services across the breadth of the organisation and is the spiritual mentor for the ELT.
Colleen announced in September that she would be leaving the Assembly at the end of 2023 after eight years of national leadership. She will commence at Wesley Mission Queensland in early February 2024.
The Assembly prays every blessing on Colleen as she prepares for her ministry with the Assembly to close and to take up this new call next year.
