Uniting in Prayer is an invitation for the whole Church to slow down, listen deeply to God, and reconnect with one another across cultures, communities and distances.
From Pentecost Sunday on 24 May to the 49th Anniversary of the Uniting Church in Australia on 22 June, we are embarking on a shared season of national prayer.
Over these 30 days, 30 voices from across the Church will come together. Each day, a new voice will lead us in praying as one body around a single, unifying question: “What does it mean to be woven together in Christ's love across cultures and boundaries?”

Day 20: In our many and various ways we are drawn to you
Bronte Wilson
Gracious and loving God,
In our many and various ways we are drawn to you, the creator and sustainer of all.
In our uniqueness and differences, we marvel at how we are made in your image, and seek to become more like you.
As part of the body of Christ, we seek connections with each other, with our communities and with you. We look for the things that draw us together as one body, rather than the things that push us apart.
O God, draw us closer to you, and to each other. May we discover new ways to make new connections through you. May we celebrate our diversity and our unity as members of your body, the church.
O God, we look to you for direction. By your Spirit, show us how to live as one in you, celebrating the individual part we each play, the ways we come together as one, and the difference we can make in your world as we journey together as one.
In Jesus’ name we pray.
Amen.
