We are delighted that the 17th Assembly Cato Lecture will be given by Korean American theologian Grace Ji-Sun Kim, a world renowned scholar and expert in intercultural, feminist and post-colonial theology.
Grace is the author or editor of 22 books and Professor of Theology at Earlham School of Religion in Richmond, Indiana. She is a much sought after lecturer across the globe and last year Christian media organisation Sojourners named Grace as one of eight women shaping the church.
The Cato Lecture was established by Fred Cato in 1932 to promote the enhancement of religion and education. Originally a feature of the triennial Methodist General Conference, it is now a significant part of the triennial Uniting Church Assembly meeting.
The Cato Lecture will be held at 7pm on Saturday 13 July, at the Novotel in Parramatta.
The Cato Lecture is a public event and is open to non-Assembly members. It will also be live streamed to the 17th Assembly webpage and the Assembly Facebook page. If you are planning to attend in person, please RSVP below.
