Discipling the Next Generations

“I am the light of the world”

2019 has been the most personal challenging and testing year for me, however, it has also been the most spiritually comforting and assuring where I have grown in my love for and trust in God.

This year I faced some incredibly difficult experiences. But, over this traumatic time, I found ‘hope for the hopeless’. I was blessed and surrounded with the amazing unconditional love, support and prayers of my immediate family, my home church Parramatta Mission and the wider Fiji National Conference.

During some of my lowest points, I had visits from a couple of UCA Ministers who made such an impact in my journey of healing and transformation.

It is everyone’s prayers, love and endless support that has helped me pulled through, and for that I’m eternally grateful! I have soaked God’s presence, peace and love through them all.

I’ve always felt God’s call in my life and I’m still seeking to know where God is calling me to be.

However, with all I’ve endured, I now feel a strong call of God in my life to advocate for others in their dark and troubled times. I am reminded and encouraged by Jesus words; “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” (John 8: 12).

As we continue to journey through this Advent season, may God fill our hearts and minds with His Love, Joy, and Peace.
